Children’s Liturgy of the World
Children’s Liturgy of the Word is offered as part of Mass during the 10.30am Mass at the Monastery each Sunday of the school term. Children aged between 5 and 11 years hear the Gospel read from the Children’s Lectionary. The leaders then explore the message of the Gospel in age appropriate language. The children then return to the church to rejoin their families and to continue with the Mass.
Activity Days are held on one day each school holidays (check this site regularly to find out the next date!). The days are held in the Sebastian Centre at the Monastery and focus on a particular religious theme. There is a mixture of games, puzzles, music, stories and craft activities to entertain the children.
Generally, morning tea and lunch is included. Children of Primary School age are invited to enrol by completing a Registration and Medical Form. Completed forms are then sent to the church office marked “Activity Day”.
