16–18 October 2026

In 2015 Pope Francis gave us the gift of his encyclical letter Laudato Si: On care for our common home. In this work Francis calls us to have a more passionate concern for the protection of our world. He invites us to realise that a healthy relationship with creation is an important dimension of overall personal conversion. He urges us to understand that in relation to ecology, we need a change of heart.

The beautiful gardens of the Monastery are an ideal place for prayer, and participants will be invited to explore their relationship with God through gazing upon, then photographing, the beauty of creation. We will explore visio divina through engaging photography as a contemplative prayer form.

Participants are asked to bring a mobile phone, tablet or digital camera on retreat.
